They misplaced his baggage and now it is on it's way back to FL he's pissed:rant: .I'm not planning on doing anything today probably the same as I did yesterday lay on the couch and watch sad movies that make me cry:crying: :crying: :crying:

Hey you...hang in there....I know you are missing Jamie and he's missing you. We're all keeping him in our thoughts and prayers to keep him safe. I didn't get to thank him for the software he sent me. It came in the mail, and we were so busy, just didnt get a chance to get on here than thank him. So I'll thank you for it!! You know if you ever need to talk, we're all here for you during this tough time.

Sunday....freaking Sunday....well its a tad warmer here in the 'burgh...we're in the 20's today with snow. Did a provision run this morning and just getting ready to hit the gym. Dropped 9 pounds already. Have 20 more to go then I'll be content!

Going to haul up some wood for the fire today when I get back from working out and will just sit around and watch the fire. Lil one has announced to all present that we are playing Wii today with her. So I guess I'll have to kick her butt once again at Wii...lol.

You do know that he's only a phone call away...right?

Like cruise to the base and use Autovon...right?

Even in the zone.

If you want the number to where he works, shoot me a pm.

You might be surprised at what an Air Force retiree (old age and trechery) can come up with!:giggling:

H2Wifey - my hubby did 2 tours over there, you'll be fine. He has enough to keep himself occupied with doing his job, so make this deployment a time for YOU - do things you wanted to do but never had time for. Travel, learn a new language, take a class on something interesting. Treat this as an opportunity, not a curse. Not only will you better yourself, but the time will fly much, much faster - I promise. Feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk.

Not much going on here today. Was going to watch the All-Stars tonight on Vs, but Marty pulled out as starting goalie so it's not even worth turning the TV on now. Supposed to hit 75 today and through Tuesday....gotta love south Texas winters, dinner on the deck tonight. :)

Stacey is right. Rich was never in Iraq so I understand that being even harder. But he was in the military stationed away from me for about 6 months and it was so very hard. It does fly by though eventually.

Today I'm working at home, Rich is putting in the new stereo/Sirius in the H2. Did some elliptical training, laundry, etc. Later we'll go out and enjoy the day after the radio is in. We want to go see Untraceable so maybe...

PS It's 63 right now, not bad.

I am on nightshift here in Kazakstahn - doing absoultely buggar all to be honest - apart from becoming a "Call of Duty 2" addict - cant wait to get back to the States to actually play it online - completed it twice now - oh how the days are flying by.

H2wifey - OK I am not in any dangers way here - apart from possibly dysentry and freezing to death - but my wife knows what you are going through - I have been working overseas for years in the oil industry - and not always in the safer spots - you get used to trust me - I can be away for three months at a time - up to six months recently - OK that was in Texas but away from home is away from home at the end of the day. What keeps me doing it is knowing that I have a great wife waiting for me at home who supports me 100% in everything that I do.

Thanks it really means alot that everyone cares so much. I guess I should do something to make the time go by faster. I'm just not in the mood to do anything right now except lay on the couch and watch movies,Jamie just left Thursday. The first days are always the hardest so I've heard. I gotta go to work tomorrow and I know all those crazy patients will def make the time fly by:giggling:

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING YA'LL :beerchug: JINSEY (H2wifey)

Thanks for all the support for the wife. I have had a crappy few days. From MAJOR plane delays, to them not only losing my personal baggage, but now also my chemical gear, gas mask, weapon, etc. All I have is a 72 hr bag I packed that has lasted well over its span. As the wife said, I am pissed! I finally got the point that I raised my voice pretty sternly to a few of the Sgts here at this Army base. Of course, as an Air Force officer, they don't give 2 sh!ts about what I say. I thought to myself, if I had that attitude when they came through the EMEDS and wounded on a litter, I'm sure their prespective would change. But...that's not the kind of person I am, so I just made a few phone call, and now things are looking better. So, for my Sunday, I spent the day in a dusty tent, where only the heat works in this 78 degree enviroment. Bring on the Summer!!! However, I am here to help and respect each and every soldier here. God Bless these guys! USA, Great Britian, China, Japan, and other parts of the Coilition Forces here. Take care all....jamie

Not sure I would call it backing down. Hotties in the zone....funny. The only AF personel at the camp were a TSgt and myself. About some 1K Army. That's probably the reason. Anyway, things got handled and we are well taken care of now. I told the wife, if I only had her here, I wouldn't mind doing at least a year or more tour.

I will. It still seems surreal with the mortars and distant gunfire. I do wish at times I was a combat nurse so I could help out more, instead of playing on the internet....like now.

That sucks. :( We'll be thinking about you - the working hours over there are pretty demanding. A friend of ours was in that position 2 years ago.
