Well, on Pirate 4x4, Billavista (screen name of Bill Ansell, a captain in the Canadian Military whose specialty is AntiSubmarine Warfare) created something that is much better than what I read online years ago and has come up with two flowcharts that basically describe the safe recovery guidelines that I've used in the past.
