OK, so a leading manufacturer of high end aftermarket offroad equipment is set to release a new front bumper with integrated winch mount for the H3. I hope to post part numbers, pricing, pictures, and availability very soon.
However before they are completed they would like to know from us, the consumers our preference for a standard color. The choices are black or Grey. Please post comments to the reasoning of which color would be best as well as you interest in a product like this.

The bumper in the pic is the completed one for the Australia market. There are some changes being made for the North American model that should be completed shortly.

06-07 Models will require a purchase of the 08 Skidplate. The 08 bolted right on mine, I will post pics of the one on my rig later today.

OK, Late June ETA, but the questions still remains about that bumper fitting ALPHAS.
The 08 H3 and 08 H3 Alpha have a difference in the front end's support.
Due to the additional corssbar, if they didn;t look into that, it will not work with 08 or newer Alpha models...maybe it will and they worked around it.
Other H3 bumpers (I know of two manufacts) didn;t take this into account (mainly because the Alpha's wern't out as of yet) and you have to cut that support bar out or hack the hell out of the new bumper for it to fit. Cut the support bar out and your warranty is done on a few EXPENSIVE items.
So, does anyone have confirmation that it will work on the Alphas?

Standard color will be black, with an option to color match the color.

Are you talking about the bar that bolts on across the front under the radiator? The same support bar that is the reason for the different skid plate?

Nice!! Thanks for the pic! So, is that an ARB roof rack on top of your rig? Could we get a side shot of the bumper?
Thanks for all the info!

Yes on the rack, it is the short touring rack with the gutter fit kit(with some additional fab to make it fit that rack) There is a proper fit kit to be out soon though.
Here is the side shot, it sticks out about the width of the winch controller box.

This bar is connected to the frame rails that the tow hooks attach to. Could you forward an EMail address to me through PM, I can send you hi-res pic of the bar.
From what I understand this bar acts as a lateral support bar so the frame cannot twist on teh front end. I'm not sure on the proper terminology for it.
Do you work for ARB? If so, I'd like to talk with you if you have a few minutes.

I just looked at the site and put the bumper in my shopping cart. It showed it as available, (of course this is the wider version of the bumper). Shipping to me was 180 bucks.

I also went to the site and added it to my cart and shipping was 180. What I was wondering is..why did the bumper for the flares come out first? Is it more common in Australia? I have only seen, maybe 2 with factory flares around here.

The factory flares come standard down in Australia. That is why that version of the bumper came out first.
Crash ?

There's one of those laws about tires not being able to stick out past the fender wells down there, so anyone adding oversize tires has to put fender flares on. The red H3 in the ARB pics has flares.. However, Convert's H3 doesn't have flares and neither does his bumper..

I called them to verify. There are TEN bumpers on the way to US for sale. ETA is end of month (aprox. date).
The bumpers on the way in are for use with the extended flares (grey colored flares on the Euro spec'd models). So it sits a little wider on each side. ...that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. A little more protection on the F.E.
I'm still trying to find out if the factory fogs will work with the bumper or not though. I'm not too sure I like the FJ (IPF) inserts in the bumper.
So, only ten on teh way. One was spoken for, plus the one I just reserved. ...only 8 left now. :notallthere:

No on the factory fogs, they fit the new ARB lights that should be in stock sometime in July.
