Since the pesky rear seats won't fold flat, does anyone have a suggestion on how to make a comfortable bed in the back.

Hey at least it would be flat then http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Beside's isn't that stuff for extra grip for when they are "sleeping" and the hummer is a rockin' http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've seen that done but I want to get away from taking the rear seats out. I was wondering if there was some way to build the rear area up? To meet the level where the rear seats are when folded down. This is one of the few headaches I have with the H3 that the you can't get the area flat to sleep on without major surgery.

Why don't you just put an air matress in the back?

This thread needs to be renamed: "Pitching a tent with your Hummer."

If you used an air mattress you would still have to deal with the hump. Where the seats are not the hump some of you are thinking of. That would be hard too with seats the way they are when there folded down come to think about it. But any hump is a good hump if you can..................

It's just a hump, I think you can rough it by sleeping on an air matress in a hummer, with an elevated head. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

If you are willing to wait about a month you should be able to by the diamond plate storage unit and with the seats folded, you should then have a flat surface to ge a hummer I mean a good night sleep with an air matress on. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif plus get some extra storage spots to put all the straps and lubricants need for the adventures that may lie ahead (on the trail) http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Get a Gobi Roof Rack - put an air mattress on top of the rack on your Hummer and sleep under the stars but away from the bugs on the ground.
