RoadHouse Grill...DAM, it closed to

WTF

Lets go to Joffreys for coffee then...F*** they are closed also

OK, lets try a local place to eat...how bout Flamingo's, been there about 25 years, good home cooked style eatery...FER-GET-IT, out of business

Am I the only one finding this a disturbing trend ???

no, the one in Miami, was there about 25 years...Fresh Turkey EVERY DAY, Corned Beef & Cabbage every Thursday, Ham Steaks 3/4 " thick. Fresh Apple Pie Every Day... It was Miami's version of a NE Diner...

I kind of liked Roadhouse once in a while. They had the best appetizer; these cheese wrapped jalapeno things.

Ha! That's not it. I think they were called cheese wraps. They were like these fried tortilla type things that had hot peppers and cheese in them. ;)

Aw hell it doesn't matter, just about any food wrapped in cheese and jalapenos, fried or grilled, is pretty fricken good, especially with beer! Or margaritas!

I totally agree with that. In fact, just about anything that has cheese is fine by me.

We haven't had any restaurants or chains really close around here that I know of, but, what I have been seeing are a lot of 'loyalty clubs' coming up all of a sudden. For example, T.G.I.Friday's .. if you join their "Give Me More Stripes Club", you get free promotional chips and dips when you present your card up front, 'jump the line' ticket if you come during a busy hour, free appetizer, etc. Other chains, too, have a club if you join online, like Romano's Macaroni Grill, Red Lobster, etc.
