Turned to $hit is less than a year. With the help of salt I am sure. Anyone else have this issue?

Josh, Was this the OEM one? If so, mine lasted 2 winters(salt) before turning to CRAP http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Unfortunately I really like look of the OEM one, so I keep my eye on e-bay, stockpiling them http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I just put on the 2nd one, and I have 1 more left in my collection for the next time http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yep - it is OEM. wonderful. I was thinking about having it PCed black, but we will see. What a crapper. Good thing I kept my black stock pocket.
I imagine I can get a new one under warranty....

The problem is, SMA MADE them. My service guy told me he was trying to get SMA replace some door buckets for a customer for the last 2 months. Wonder why THAT never happened http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

My RW chrome locking gas cap cover still looks new after washing. Trips to Tahoe in snow/salt/grit crap on the roads hasn't hurt the finish yet.

Mine was perfect for 1 1/2 winters, but the end of this winter it went to HELL http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

It wouldn't even stay closed! No offense, but your TRIPS to Tahoe is no where near as bad as a 6 month CRAPPY winter http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
