fabtech install - front drive shaft stuck in transfer case

Getting a Fabtech installed on my 04. Shop said a boot was missing off the front drive shaft - transfer case, its all rusted up, and they can't get the shaft out.

I've been under the truck a number of times and never even noticed a boot was supposed to be there.

Anyone ever run into this or have any suggestions? My install cost is going up, they have about 4-5 hours into this.

I will crawl under mine at lunch. No boot on the driveshaft that I remember. Seals around the shaft for the spline.
