I bought just the grill guard light brackets from Adventure Accessories to mount a pair of Hella 4000s. Worked great with just some slight mods.

MisterEd:

Could you tell me a little about what "mods" you did? I'd love to mount a set of Hella 4000s, but always assumed they were too large. So I'm "settling" for a set of PIAA 580s http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. Do you experience any stability or "flexing" problems with the mounts? Someone had mentioned on a previous thread that they weren't as sturdy as the factory mounts.

Just my opinion, but any KC light is going to look like ca-ca on the H2.

Hey, what beam pattern did you go with on the hella's??? I kinda liked the cornering vs the fog.

drty, you were right, those big chrome things did look bad, I dont have much chrome up front, but they are mighty powerful, that was what was attractive.

MRED- what else did you have to do to the brackets???

JamesT,
If you feel like changing grill guards I can mount the lights nearly anywhere you want them. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

On the subject of offroad lights if anyone comes across that thread on how to wire up and the lights would you please post it? I think it was one of Phil's threads.

A little off the subject but here it goes. Why don't you adapt the rear seat area so we can add another 1/2 seat on the driver's side. The other GM SUVs have them. You could use the Escalade seat and have it recovered in the H2 seat pattern.

Not sure I am following you. Are you referring to something similar to the already available full rear replacement seat. I have not seen the inside of the Escalade. Is there advantage to having it done this way over the one I mentioned above?

I am talking about adding another third row seat to the already existing seat. I know I can add an aftermarket "full" third row seat, but I want to just add another 1/2 seat where my spare tire used to be. My 02 Esclade was set up the way I described above and I liked the flexability that arraignment lent. The new seat should also tilt and lock in an up position.

Never mind.
