Starter or battery running low?

Okay guys recently my truck has been acting funny when cranking it..I turn the key and the ignition just spins, eventually it will fire but for a few cranks it will just sit there and spin..could my starter be going bad or is my battery not making enough amps to turn it over? Or something else?

Hi is the engine cranking over and not starting or the starter just free wheeling? You could have a fuel problem if its cranking over and not starting or a ign. problem. If the starter is free wheeling its likely the starter drive not engaging.

It's weird..somedays it will crank right up, but yesterday I went to walmart and when I got ready to leave, I turn the key and it just turns on itself, the engine doesn't fire up..eventually I got it to come alive after a few tries, but for awhile I thought it would not start. It's like the ignition gets hung sometimes..

Hi it could be something with the BCM not receiving or sending out the right inf. I think you should take it in and get it checked before it leaves you sitting somewhere. I don't think you want that!! I will see if their is any TSB about starting problems for a 2008 i will post it if i find any.

I may just take it in..I really don't need for it to leave me stranded somewhere!

I took it to my chevrolet place and they think my fuel pump has gone bad..so parts should come in today. Hope that's it!
