Here's a few pics of my underneath. For some reason the exhaust looks different from what I remember on my other '08. The guy in the shop today said it looks like different too, but that could be because of the air suspension...

I called my local dealer and gave them the numbers on the bottom and they didnt come up with anything and said it doesn't nessessarilly have to be a GM OEM product... I can't find anything on Google either... Can someone with an 08-09 see if they have the same one.

Stamped on it it says:

GM
G0050108
Made in W Canada
09 20 07

it appears stock. and if its stamped GM....that pretty much gives it away.

That's what I though too, has to be that simple?... I don't know what the GM parts guy was referring too...

I was going to switch them around with my other 08. The other one has the GM aftermarket Cat-Back Exhaust System 19157465 http://www.crateenginedepot.com/Cat-Back-Exhaust-System-19157465-P14436.aspx

The cat-back isn't really much louder than the stock one, but the stock one also seems to sound louder than I remember on other stock 08/09s... The stock one has a more deeper throatier sound too than the cat-back, which is higher pitched and sounds more racier...

It is a little strange that nothing comes up in Google when you search on that though...

I just did a search on "made in w canada"...

...the only result was this post. LOL! It's a one of a kind! Cut it off, bronze it, and hang it on the garage wall.

Yeah...but something relevant would come up somewhere on the Internet. I get 7 results...only two of which are in English, one is this thread and the other is for a 'Dual Beam SNIT Placement Machine'...WTFIT?!

http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS436US436&ix=sea&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=G0050108

When I Google old part numbers I always get something...a GM parts catalog, links to whitepapers, forum threads, etc. It's like there's a typo in the number stamped on the muffler or something...

...oh, it's a Dual Beam SMT Placement Machine! Duh...

WOW! With 4 Feeder Banks with 64x8MM Tapes Capacity...very impressive. :notallthere:

Note the bottom of page 1 in the above PDF...the part number is G005-0108...coincidence? Hmmm.... Maybe you've got a Dual Beam SMT Placement Muffler?

Thanks for the help with this one guys. I'll try calling a few of the larger Hummer dealers in AZ and ask them too. My other 08 is going into trade on Thursday and I wanted to exchange the two exhuasts out before that day. That's if the one pictured here is a stock one. If it is not I will just keep it as it does sound ok, to me anyway... I just didn't want the dealer getting a $900 cat-back system, especially with what I am getting up the ying yang for trade in

lol, well not quite;).

So I just called Kachina and Legends in Arizona and both couldn't come up with anything. There is not supposed to be a letter in the 8 digit GM part number. So I asked for a stock hummer 08 exhaust part# and he gave me 25947957 . I googled it and the diagram looks to be exactly what I have pictured here, so it looks like i have the stock muffler on... Cool, case closed and thanks for the work guys, I wouldn't actually found this out if no one posted back!

oh if someone can double check just to make sure it is the same please. I'm not too good with this stuff...

Yep...looks right.

I found this 09 exhaust on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/09-HUMMER-H2-MUFFLER-EXHAUST-NEW-/230627488386?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &vxp=mtr&hash=item35b2783282#ht_2916wt_1396

If you look closely at that second picture you can see that the muffler is stamped with G4-4152 2 343 8 A. I get nothing when I Google on that stuff either. So, maybe those numbers are more like 'lot' numbers used during a production run or something instead of a 'part number'.

Dunno...just a thought.

Very interesting, thanks!!! It is very close to what I have. At only $99 new though, I am now back to thinking about switching over to the GM cat-back. The cat-back has the dual pipes coming out of the back too, so it looks better, I think... It is noticeably thinner than the stock exhaust though, I think that is why it it not as a deep throaty of a sound... The catback definitely doesnt sound as good as the Borla/Corsa's etc... I am happy the GM perfomance CAI on it though, the one I had pictured in another thread...

Let me see if I have this straight...the 08 you're going to trade has the GM Performance cat-back and the 08 you're planning on keeping appears to have the stocker that we've been researching? And you're thinking about switching the two exhausts so you can keep the cat-back?

If this is all correct, for me it would boil down to money and hassle. If the time, money, and trouble it's going to take to make the switch is substantially cheaper than putting an aftermarket set on later, then I'd say go for it. But if the costs (when all things are considered) are close I'd say just wait and put an aftermarket set on that you really like.

Yes that's exactly it. The reason I had both those pics was that I had it in Meineke the other day and was going to do the switchover and did not. At the last minute I thought that maybe the stock muffler was not a stock muffler. It was because of the size of it and the sound. As I mentioned, the stock one is thicker and throatier sounding and a tad quiter than the cat-back. I just feel caus of the catback being $900 and aftermarket, that is should be better than the stock muffler, which it may not be...

The time for me is no problem, as it will also get me away from this darn message board obsession for a bit too;) Also the cost to switch both was at the most $125, but he said they had to fudge them a bit to get them to fit because of the ariride, I think. It wasn't a straight forward exchange for some reason...

$125? Oh, that's a great price...make it happen. If you find that you don't like it you can always go aftermarket later.

I just measured the GM Performance exhaust and it's only 2" compared to the stock one at well over 3". I tested both again, and the performance one just doesn't quite have the right sound for the truck and it's not much louder than the stock one. I really think it's because of the smaller diameter tubing.

I decided to not go with it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The Corsa's are at 3" and all the vids I have seen/heard are fantastic. Next up I like the Borla and Magnaflow too in that order...

I'll post some pics and/or vid, if/when I get the Corsa Sport on...
