I have a 09 H2 and want to do the DRL MOD with the diode. The only proablem is, I can not find the radio shack one-PN-276-1102-1 amp,220 volt- at any of the Source stores,in London Ontario,Can.Radio Shack is called that here. Some electronic shops in town have 1000 volt,1 amp diodes, but not the 200v,1 amp. Will the 1 Amp-1000v one work,as long as it 1 amp,or is this gonna fry something in the fuse box.I know nothing about diodes and how they work,so I thought I woulk ask the experts here first before I do anything.Thanks...

I'm pretty sure any 1A diode with a peak inverse voltage greater than 12-15v will work just fine.

So your 50V jobby should do the trick...

Yes the higher voltage capacity one will work. It's like using a larger gauge speaker cable than what you need.
