Bose 6 disc head unit question

Ok, I think I have the Y91 stereo with the Bose system and the 6 disc head unit.

So I am curious if the head unit would play mp3's or do I have to convert these to play on this stereo

No it won't play MP3's. Rip it to an audio CD or get an iPod adapter.
