WTH... I just greased and changed fluids and all of a sudden I have this creaking noise coming from front left when I turn.

Under acceleration, no acceleration it's there when I turn left.... the same side the noise is coming from. It seems to go with the rotation of the wheel.

It seems to be getting worse. I don't have to turn as far now for it to happen.

This has all started and gotten worse in a very short time.

It could have been there before I changed the fluids and the latest lube, but I can 't say for sure.

I used Redline 75/90 synthetic gear lube in the diffs, both front and back.

It's literally a creaking... almost like opening a door in a haunted house!

What could this be?

Well....

It's gone after a switch into and short drive in 4 hi.

If anyone has any idea what would have caused this I'd love to hear it.

When I had experienced such a problem it turned out to be the body mounts as they had an issue with these. From what the Hummer Mech told me is they have to install some plastic shims for the body mounts.

Creaking would make me think it was the torsion bar or sway bar, but I don't know why it would do it only turning one way.

Or why a short ride in 4hi would fix it.

Haven't had the creaking since then.
