Well, I am a father as of November 14th 9:10AM. Hailee was born after a short labor (8 hour). My wife went drug free - but it was not pain free I am sure. I am so proud of her, and the child birth...there is NO way a man could do that. LOL

Hailee was 7lbs 8oz when she was born and just kept looking at her mom and dad...it was the most amazing thing.

Mom and baby are still doing great - she is a sleeper (Hailee) so things have been pretty good for us parents.

I am ready to get the H2 power wheel for a few years from now! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, I am just so happy gang, and I had to share the news! She has not been in the Hummer yet - I will get some pics when she does! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You apparently haven't encountered the dreaded Chernobyl diaper yet! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Even then, though, they aren't bad. It's all part of the daddy package and it gets better every day.

A bit premature for you VT, but girls are so adorable. For her 5th bday, we finally allow my daughter to get her ears pierced. After the first CLICK! she smiled and said "that's ok, wasn't that painful.." then tears started running down, then she started wailing, then she said "no more! no more!" to the second ear piercing!!

A moment that makes you laugh and cry at the same time... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Congrats! It will be both harder and better than you imagined. The first time my son (now 9 months) loked up at me and said "Daddy!" just caused me to melt. Good luck!

Hows the meconium treating you? I remember the very first time I saw that stuff. Oh My God!

I agree with Hognose. Every day I pick up my son at daycare in the afternoon and he just drops everything and comes running. Its just amazing.

All I can say is, take lots and lots of pictures. They grow up WAY too fast - mine is 5 mos now, and he's a totally different little boy from how he was just a month ago. They do something new every day, it's amazing. So even on those bad days - crying for hours with no reason, spitting up on everything you own, etc. - be thankful for your little girl, they truly are a blessing.

And for god's sake, go get some Hummer gear for that child!!! (Hummer has these great onesies... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).

I bet they grow up so quickly!

I started a video quite a bit before my wife started showing - and then made more messages to the baby as we went. Now I am taking vid of Hailee and mom... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Plus I make mom take some of me just so she can see when I looked 28. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
