Today I drove 193 miles in the pouring rain and I still love my HUMMER. The right lane on PCH was empty just because of a little water (a honda would of sunk) so no traffic for me today, I just cruised through. Up into the canyons of Malibu, rock and mud slides, no problem. Here, caltrans uses snow plows to clear the roads of rocks and mud. While the BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, etc. waited for the plow, I went around the cars, over the rocks and was on my way. Thanks to all of you for talking me into getting this truck. 18,000 miles and I still love it like it was new. Now for a Gobi rack and some real tires!

I always find mud. I went through calabasas to the 101. I took the long way and many detours. Fire roads are fun. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Bummer on the transfer case. What caused it to crap out?

I grew up in Santa Monica and know PCH well. That section between Sunset & Topanga can be dicey in the rain. You're right about the rocks there, and I'll bet tonight it's terrible (for a Beemer, that is http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif). Got a call from a girl I know in L.A. a little while ago and it's POURING down there. Could be Rockslide City on PCH later tonight . . . just perfect for an H3.

one of you guys should park on the side of PCH and wait for people that might need a tow...

then charge them... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

kinda like in tahoe for those folks that need help putting on chains!
