Lawdog-

There is a thread going on over at the HML (http://www.humvee.net) right now about replacement lights and bulbs, etc... You might think of joining over there if you haven't already... It's the original website for Hummer H1 owners-been around 10 yrs. Please beware though, there is some friction between certrain members of Elcova and members/owner of HML...

Carey-

You know I can't comment on a fellow S&B brother... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I just saw you are a Godfather of Wheeling... How's Roberto been doing? I haven't seen him on here in a while... Granted, I've been too busy to be active here.

I do hope S&B and the Godfathers at the H1 level can get along-when I get my H1 that is... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

HUMMERDOGG,
How could I ask you to make a comment about a person's involvement in a organization that does not even exist? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I havent heard from R2 for a long time, he hasnt been at any of the recent WHOG events I've been to. But I've been meaning to hit him up and see if he wants head down to Attica in the near future.
Godfathers and S&B will do fine at the H1 level, its your resonsibility as an H1 owner to set a good example for the others. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Hope you find the right H1 soon, hell you've been looking for one as long as I've been around here. Its good your not willing to settle though, I did that the first time around calling it a mistake is understatement at the very least. Remember service records, service records, service records, and cooling system pressure test at 15 PSI for a half hour.

I just went to pep-boys and bought the standard round ones -- I think they were $12 each.

Here's a work in progress article about different replacement bulbs, patterns, and coverage.

And to add: I just finished the write up on a cost effective HID retrofit method for our H1's.

Cost - $315 plus a small bit of labor.

I have the Sylvania Xenarc's and while they are better than stock, the fit sucks. I had to do alot of "clearancing" to get them to fit in the buckets. The beam pattern is odd too, very rectangular and it has a diffuser that seems to cut down the volume of light which could be better. If I had to do it over, I wouldn't use these but find a good european design for the H6014.

That's why I went with the Hella E-Code reflectors. The pattern is great - it's as good as some of the BMW/Audi/etc. projector patterns (but not as efficient).

The original Xenarc X6024 and the second generation X6024's really worked, but they needed better glass for their pattern.
