Guys / Gals,

Are these Xeon lights worth a crap. Some say they overheat the wiring etc etc...My wifes BMW has the xeon's in it and I like the illumination much better. Anyone used these, or can suggest some quality ones.

All they are is blue bulbs. GARBAGE!!!

I thought this was interesting about the warranty:

quote:
If a Eurodezigns product should ever become defective it will be covered under your "lifetime warranty", please contact Eurodezigns Inc. directly. Do not contact the eBay seller who sold you the product, they will just redirect you to Eurodezigns Inc. The eBay seller does not carry your warranty,

Eurodezigns Inc. is the ONLY person who will honor your warranty needs.

Anyone ever hear of Eurodezigns Inc.? That should be fun trying to get them to honor their "warranty".

One more time: If yu want the best light output possible with 9007 bulbs get a set of Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. I had them before I changed over to HIDs and they were excellent bulbs with great light output.

Awesome, thanks DRTFYN, that's just what I needed to know. Where did you pick those bulbs up at. Thanks again for the info.

The Sylvania Silverstar's and the jumper wire make a big difference for the price. If you want a huge difference than get some HID's put in.

Can you pick up the HID's locally at say a parts store, or do they have to be ordered?

If you want the HIDs that I put in(which I'm still amazed at) call Sean in Hummer parts at (360)256-5000.
They're relatively simple to put in. They took me just over an hour to install.
I had the chrome bezels bead blasted and powdercoated black(because chrome suckshttp://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif).

Ya, saw those, they work well eh? I don't know, they kinda give me the creeps. Looks like the rig is looking directly at me in that picture, even when I try and sneak up on my monitor *shudder*

What will a set of these HID's run DRTYFN? I've been thinking about going to them. I wrote down the phone # of Sean but thought I would get a round number if You do not mind. I will leave them Chrome "I know YUK YUK YUK" but I can not help myself. HEHE
Hey for real thanks for Your help and all the advice You are able to give!

I think they retail for around $900, but grind Sean on the price. I got a good price out of him, but I also buy all kinds of stuff from him.
Chrome... nevermind.http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gifhttp://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Even though you kind of begged for it(http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) wasn't I complimentary of you not posting the offending driveway pics with the usual "Hi guys!! I just got my new H2 and I'm so excited!!! Doesn't it look sweet in my driveway?"

I have a set of the X-sighting Lighting HIDS that DYRTY has. They are freaking light cannons. I traded my 03 and kept the lights. I actually pulled the grills of the 03 and 05 in the parking lot of the dealer and swapped them on the spot. The kid helping me said he never had someone take apart their $50,000+ vehicle right in the lot the day they bought it! You will get used to the look trust me. One you drive with them, you won't care how they look.

What about the wiring?

The HID kit comes prewired with three bare ends. There is a ground wire, a low beam 12V and a high beam 12V. On low beam, the power energizes the ballast. When you hit high beam, the 12V energizes a selonoid that opens a flap in the projector that lets out all the light. There is a diode between the hi and low beam that allows 12V to pass from the hi to low beam light but not from the low to high beam light. What I did on my 03 was took a stock bulb and ripped off the glass part exposing the three leads. I soldered the three wires from the HID assembly and filled the socket with hot glue for sealing and insulation. Now all I have to do is plug the factory plug into the old bulb socket and that is it. The reason I did the swap at the dealer is becasue I wanted to retain my modified light buckets. There is a sligh trimming of the fiberglass that needs done but that was it.

Klaus,
Did you get any of the PM I sent you about the NAV install? I have all my parts on order. I might order a CD changer cable just to get the correct end when (if) I need to add the VSS wire. The local Audio shop told me the conversion won't work. I'll be sure to stop by after it is hooked up
