Negative Impact of Dealer-Installed Cloth/Vinyl Roofs on XM Radio System
2002-2003 Passenger Cars and Trucks

with XM Radio (RPO U2K)

Dealers should not install a cloth or vinyl roof on vehicles that have been ordered with the XM radio option (RPO U2K). The performance of the XM radio system may be negatively impacted by the installation of the cloth/vinyl roof. Additionally, water leaks may result from installing a cloth roof on XM radio-equipped vehicles. Finally, moving the antenna to another spot on the vehicle exterior, in order to install a cloth or vinyl roof, is not advised either. The antenna performance has been optimized for its current location. Moving it may degrade the performance.

I don't get it. Cloth/Vinyl roof? Are they talking about Landau(sp?) or whatever it is called, like a Cadillac? Or are they talking about the interior roofliner?
