I haven’t seen anyone talk much about this, but there are a couple of really great Hummer books out there. I just got done with “Hummer H3" by Larry Edsall.

This is fairly new book that largely reads like a Hummer brochure. Overall it has some interesting tidbits on the background of the design and production of the H3, with some interesting hints on possible future versions. By far the best aspect of the book are its photos, which makes it worth the price alone. There are some great pictures of the H3's design, testing and manufacturing. And some of the best pictures of the H3T. Very cool!
The other book which my wife got me last xmas is one of my all-time favorites. It’s “Hummer: How a Little Truck Company Hit the Big Time, Thanks to Saddam, Schwarzenegger and GM” by Martin Padgett

This is a great read about the history of HMMWVs and Hummers. While this book came out just prior to the introduction of the H3, it’s a fantastic page turner for anyone remotely interested in Hummers.
