Last I heard he was scheduled to take a 24 hr test drive with an H1. He's been pretty quiet since. MAC? You out there? How did the H1 test drive go?

Alas, MAC is gone for good... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

(I was gonna make jokes, but considering the times...)

Gone for good as in tired of the insults or gone for good as in dead?

It seems that he (or his sons) made an insy mistake sometimes in the past which allow the spy-hackers in this forum to glean some personal info which MAC being MAC does not like at all and so he split, gone for good from this here forums, and yes despite what some may say, deep down we all miss him and his entertainingly confusing oft inane posts.. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

(How's that for a long sentence?? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)

Well, I enjoyed reading his posts. He seemed to live quite an interesting life. At first I wondered if he was just blowing alot of smoke, but the more I read the more I came to believe that no one could make that stuff up.

Aside from the occasional typo, Mac was articulate and his posts were very readable. For someone who appears to be enjoying considerable success in life, he came across as a very likeable fellow.

So, while many may disagree, I do miss his contributions to this forum.

H2 Finally, thank you for the reply.

When Mac lost his cloak of mystery it became more difficult for him to keep up the facade of being an elite super executive that had his fingers in everything. He also didn't like being outed as a Korean. He'd made some disparaging remarks about Asians in the past that were sort of puzzling since he is Asian. You can only wrap BS so tight before it unravels. I think he got out before it all came undone.
IMO I don't think the H2 was anything other than a vehicle to him. His kids might have liked it, but he didn't care about it.

Anyone who bothered to take multiple photos of his rig & post & discuss, does not view it as a mere "vehicle". B4 the H2, I couldn't care less what I drove.

Spike, if you have come across any interesting posts post-MAC, I for one would appreciate the link(s).

As there were a couple of months when my attention was directed to other, non-Hummer areas it appears as though I missed the "Is MAC Real" thread. Now, after reading the entire thread, (a) I'm exhausted and (b) I now understand what happened with MAC.

To me, the persona of MAC revealed in that thread (through his words, not the words of others) was quite different than that which came through in the previous posts of his that I read. As I am only an occasional visitor here, I apparently have not read the posts where his behavior was bothersome to others.

As I am considering the purchase of an H1, his earlier thread about an H1 test drive interested me. That was the reason for my query re: his whereabouts. I would be most pleased for this thread to end here. Please, please, please, let's not re-open the MAC can-o-worms.

Thank you for shedding some light on this. Now, I need a nap.
