IT'S ABOUT TIME! I am soooo sick of my XM Radio, I've almost bought the SIRIUS kits now a few times, but haven't decided which I want. I get SIRIUS on DISH Network, and I would much rather listen to SIRIUS over XM. The music is much better on SIRIUS. I wonder if this kit makes the integration complete. For instance, if you can still use the steering wheel controls, and see the artist info. I'm too lazy to read any of the literature right now...

That's good to know.

On the topic of XM IS LAME, I got an email a week ago saying "Yay, it is with great jubilation and rucus that we'd like to introduce X number new stations to our glorious lineup". So, I'm excited, maybe XM will get better. Well, I was suspicous a few moments after I thought that because I noticed that XM was going to start running COMMERCIALS on some of their former music-only channels!!! In May this conversion will take place, and at the very bottom of the updated channel lineup there is this:

http://shutter04.pictures.aol.com/data/pictures/07/007/78/DD/0D/35/uvCQf8vMSgwG2Tgk94EVNztB72w9VT6i00F1.jpg

So I search for what channels are switching, and I can't find them in the main listing. Finally I notice some channel numbers are missing, and they appear in this box:

http://shutter02.pictures.aol.com/data/pictures/04/009/77/FB/F2/30/aJnD46U4vF-KHTZ6QgF3jCRuBNXUGdtz0300.jpg

Well, they just added:
17. USA Country, '80's and 90's Superstars.
26. Flight 26, Modern Hits 90's and Now.
30. Hitlist, Today's Hit music.

Those essentially replace 22. Mix, 21. KISS, 11. Nashville, 24. Sunny. So they're adding new channels that are the same and adding commericals on the exisiting channels.

As is to be expected, you can now hear the same song on 4 channels instead of 2. I've listened to 21, 22, 26, 30, and they all play the same music, over and over. There is very, very little new variety.

Ok, that's my rant. It's nonsensical, quite conspiracy theory, and maybe my tastes in music are poor. But that's what I listen to.

Also, XM 80's sucks, and now their 90's is pretty bad. SIRIUS 80's is great, and their 90's is alright. The SIRIUS country is quite good though.

On a closing note, I have to ask "When will this end?" I imagine they will slowly introduce channels no one wants to listen to now that they have the suscribers, and then phase commercials into the current lineup.

do you know if you can do this mod and still put in an iPod adapter? I read that you can do either one but not both w/ the NAV headunit.
