Anyone know where I can get a set of these at a non-inflated price? They seem to be almost as hard to get a hold of as the BFG MTs.

Looking for 37x13.5-17s.

THanks,

-John

Discount Tire was able to find them a few months ago when everyone said they couldn't be found. Good price, too. I found the best price on the web and Discount matched it + $10 per.

$257 Online (http://www.ec-securehost.com/OnlineTires.com/Toyo_Open_Countrry_MT.html)

37x13.5x17 = $257
35x12.5x17 = $250

As Rodster said, most Discount Tires will come very close to matching (then add for mounting, warranty, etc)

The local firestone said he just sold a set to a customer for $180 or so each. I told him he was smoking crack. He's going to double check...

Actually procuring them has been my challenge. Most of these online and ebay places quote great prices but none of them so far could actually deliver the 37" MTs. My local DirectTire sales rep called Toyo and they said they're on national backorder.... Toyo's apparently waiting for enough orders to justify another production run.

But thanks!! I'll try these guys. They're the best price yet. My local Firestone guy can get them, but at $299/tire and he can mount but not balance the 37s. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It is because they stopped production overseas on the M/T's because they were opening up their new plant here in the states. Then the hurricane hit and stopped everything. That is why you can't get muds anywhere. The only ones available are the ones sitting in someones wherehouse.

Good luck finding any soon.

My buddy works for Truckin' mag and even he can't get any right now. They are all gone! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

Toyo tires are made by Cooper tires. The Cooper factory was recently on strike. Thus, the scarcity of MTs.

As ya'll know, I bought a set of 37-15.5-20's about 2 weeks ago. The guy I bought them from runs the accessory dept at a local dealership we do work for.

Fortunately, he had a set left over.

If you want, I'll be more than happy to check with him and see if he has any left.

Just let me know what size and I'll check. I can't promise anything but it can't hurt to ask.

When i was buying my new rims the Toyo MT was my first choice--after a couple weeks of investigating i realized it was EXTREMELY difficult to get your hands on a set...but i was looking for 35 x 12.50-20.

VT,

I've had lifted trucks as long as I can think of.. I have tried every tire I can possibly think of except the Nittos (and the new BFG's of course). Like I mentioned before, I did order a set but they came in too small and at the time, they didn't make anything larger.

I tried the Toyo's this time because like you, I was going by personal experience. I checked it out for months and NOT ONE person had anything bad to say about the Toyo's.

I'm not a personal cheerleader for Toyo, I could give a damn what brand I'm using as long as they work.

Anyway, if you've got the Nitto's, try them and see...hopefully by the time they wear out, Toyo's will be readily available.
