Do a search on "DRL Bulb" and you will find many posts about replacing the stock DRL bulbs as well as the whole unit.

I don't think Piaa makes a replacement bulb though

Sylvania makes Silverstar replacements for the DRL's and you can buy them directly from their web site.

NJ H2,
Try this one. When you get to their site follow the links for silver star high performance lighting then click on silver star signal lights.

Phil,
I checked silverstar's website. They have the 3157/4157A's for $22.49 plus $1.39 shipping per pair. I'm getting a set. I think I like the amber better.

The Sylvania lamp replacement guide lists the 3457 as the replacement DRL bulb. The site lists the 3357a/3457ast for the same price - $22.49. The site also states that all three are dual filament bulbs.

http://www.sylvania.com/auto/sssignal.htm

The only other difference that I could determine was the 3057 is listed at 27 watts while the 3457 is listed at 29 watts - nothing on the 3157's.

Phil,
I just got back from the local Pep Boys.
They had the Silverstar 3157/4157A bulbs for $24.99. I got them for $20.00 with my sons discount. He works part time there. The factory bulbs in my H2 are 4157's. I'm going outside to put them in now. I'm psyched!!!

These Sylvania Silverstar 3157/4157A are 27 watts according to the package.

I don't think there is a difference. Here's sylvania's description:

3157A / 4157A SilverStar Signal Light
High Performance Signal Light - Dual filament for both signal light and parking light - Irridescent when off, Amber when on - Wedge Base - part number: 3157/4157A ST

You can see the product number is 3157/4157AST

I picked up mine at Walmart...amber...love the look... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
