As Phil, change the stock trans cooler with a
Hayden 405 and add on the front an Hayden 404..
On Highway at 80-90 mpg for about 130 miles (without stop) no over 150 °F

Mine rubber tubing would never cause this problem. They're baked to the point they look like a severely cracked up dry lake bed. They practically crumbled to dust as I checked them just now. Too much time by the radiator I guess.

That's what mine did when the cable broke...crumbled into a white powder...the new replacements did not have the rubber tube on them.
