Rory,

This is no doubt the reason. DOT compliance. No more homemade HID retrofits..They were never legal in the first place. Sylvania stopped production of the Xenarc 6024's and have no replacement to offer, and they were DOT compliant. The cease and desist letters will sure hurt some who rely on HID retrofit sales.

Florida doesn't require annual vehicle inspections of any kind, emissions or safety. I hate driving at night with all the bright undirected headlights in your face, halogen or hid's. It's not so much the type of light, rather where the light is aimed.

The hidforum.com has some good info.

Just for FYI:

I've been doing a little searching for hids4less on Google:

They definitely do not appear to have a good reputation.

Sounds like they have upset a few customers and customer service doesn't respond often, if at all. Bad business practices. You MUST stay in contact with the customers and respond to all complaints promptly.

Do they still have a product to sell?
