I can't take pics at the plant. Sence the shutdown, there's not that many here now. I don't believe we've built any Superior Blues yet.

That's a plug. Maybe a body or frame hole plug. You have an oval hole somewhere under your truck that is very lonely without that.
If you can remember about where it was on the ground in reference to where your truck was parked maybe you can crawl under and stick it back in there.
My guess is in the rear somewhere

I would hang onto it and take it with you to the dealership. Let them find where it goes and put it back. I would have to think it is a plug that keeps water out of the interior http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

Check your dash panel (bulkhead/firewall). There is a GM part number on the backside, so the dealer can do a cross check with a H3 parts manual, and see where these are used and narrow the search that way (maybe more than one on the vehicle).
They also use these types of plugs in the bottom of the rear floor pan.

I got under my H3 with a trouble light (I like the neon ones because they put out less heat) and couldn't find a plug like that, although a lot of spaces are covered by frame and "stuff." Geez that's a solid frame.
I agree with the others, it looks like a floor pan plug, but it could be a lower firewall plug under your blower AC on the passenger side. PFM

Jersey guy,
to me is looks like one that would come off the bottom/side of a door. Like a back door, or side door. Not sure...but it is worth a check.
1) Go to the back of the H3!
2) Open the door!
3) Look to the lower door frame - right next to the right (as your looking at the back of the truck) tail light.
3) Take the plug you found in the driveway.
4) Stick it in there.
5) Close door!
6) Laugh - because you solved the mystery!
Not sure if I am right...but I hope so! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I looked up the part number and it doesn't come up. The underbody plugs are put in from the top ( inside ) and I believe there are 3 of them and they are round. Unless this is a old part number and I'll look through the old parts lists.

Man - and I thought I solved it. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I would check all the other door frames, and the doors themselves. If it is in the driveway it probably is from something that you have used there. Ins and outs so to speak...

Could have been dropped/stuck during production and just fell out when you washed it...?

this is starting to bother ME! LOL!
If you have checked all the doors, and the inner door frames, my next guess is firewall or in the engine bay. I would not think that would be the spot...but by the way things are going it might be.

Keep it and wait for a rainstorm, then drive around. If your feet get wet, the dealer is mistaken.http://hometown.aol.com/f5fstop01/images/rollingonfloorlaughing.gif

If you H3 owners can't crawl around and find some likely suspects, I'll have to drive over to the dealer and wallow around under one myself. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have good news and I have bad news. I found out another place where a plug like that is located. But it is in the drivers side rear wheel house at the back. The bad news is it's hidden by the plastic wheel liner. That would have to come out to see if it's there. I would have it checked as it's at the lower part of the body and if you would go through a lot of standing water, you could get some standing water inside the body. This hole is only on the driver side.

Hello, Question? my dealer told me that the marker lights rattle after 65mph. This came from 2 previous complaints from other customers? Do you know of this issue, or is it a installation problem?
Also, the Official H3 Chrome Gas Cap, any available, not sure if I want a after market brand, though Cool, I prefer the Official H Cap.
Thanks, jk1165
