I was testing my straight line speed and it seems that it is limited to 98mph. Is this correct?

I just broke in my engine - I'm barely over 500 miles and haven't even put in my radar detector or jammer yet...

I will have to defer your question to HIHUMMER

sounds about right. vehicle car manufacturers limit top speed per speed rating of tire. i believe H3 tires are "R" rated so max speed is 106 mph; leaves a 5-6 mph fudge factor. helps limit liability from future lawsuits.

I just don't understand why you would want to have a brick go fast, if you wnt to go fast , get a Corvette!

Rayenet, was looking at one. How is the ride? Is it as good as all the magazines say? Road noise? Bumps? Thanks for sharing your info! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Is that a Lotus Elise? Very cool,
and probably handles really well, right?
Great complement to the H3.

I've topped out at around 98 - 100, the majority of my GM vehicles do the same.

It is everything they say and more! It's the purest sports car I've ever driven. Excellent ride and handling, with a nice exhaust note. It pulls a little over 1g on the skidpad and goes 0-60 in 4.7 seconds.

My only complaint is that it's difficult to get in and out of it without looking like a contortionist.

I didn't know that the Elise went 0-60 in 4.7 seconds -- Excellent.

I think you would definitely get a few good looks
if you were to tow the Elise on a small trailer
behind the H3...

Overall it complements my Boulder Grey H3 very well and I'll post some pics of the two "little monsters" together soon.

I just saw a red Elise today.. I've only seen a few so far... It sure turned my head when it went the other way on the highway... Sweet ride!!!

I sat in one at the 04' auto show and needed help getting out of it, lol!! I think 1,000 people saw that behind the velvet rope... Pretty embarassing...

I know, it's real difficult to look cool getting out of it while everyone is staring at you. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif
