The only problem I've had here in LA is I'm constanly having to clean the side windows from people putting their noses on the windows to see in. Otherwise nothing.

I live in the Dallas area and had someone "key" me at an autozone two days after I bought mine.

I'm in Dallas and if I had a penny for every head turn, finger point, open jaw, blank stare, thumbs up, or smile and a nod, I'd have about $1.26

... I've only had it for 4 days...

That. Sucks. Ass. I hate *******s like that. Sorry to hear about that Crisco. How bad was it?

I agree with SteveRH, my H3 has been an attention whore. And we love it! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Three and half months of ownership, one small lipstick message on the window, and one mooning incident by a 20ish female in Nebraska who was the passenger in a Honda Civic. I wish she'd insult my H3 again http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The scratch I got from the local "ass" could have been worst, but then it shouldn't have hppened at all. The mark is about eight inches long, just deep enough that I couldn't buff it out but shallow enough that the buffing made it harder to see.

Still bugs the hell out of me. I prefer to put the first scratch on a new car myself.

I got this letter on my truck the other day, it said word for word :

I am a big ass hummer.
I can park where ever I want.
I don't have to follow rules.
It's hard to love me because I am a Moron

I was parked far away from the entrance but not in a parking spot. There was also a mini-van parked in the same position but closer to the entrance. I broke out laughing ( then I checked the truck for scratches, found none) and started laughing again. Some people just have nothing better to do.

I LOVE MY H3

It is simply amazing how stupid people can act, you could have been parked in the niddle of the parking lot and still got that response.
I can't wait untill there are thousands of the H3 running around and no body will care any more and it will just be anothe roff roader and the tree huggers will move on and forget the Hummer.

http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Meanwhile, the author drives off in his/her 5.7l HEMI... I might be less prone to argue it if you were driving a H1 or H2, but thier ignorance and not knowing it prob gets the same or better gas milage then their own car makes it kinda funny. Without haters who would we show-up or make an example out of...! lol...

Wow thats really dumb. It doesn't rhyme, its not funny and it doesn't make even a little bit of sense, I'm sure a lot of thought went into it. A 12 year old had to have written that.

I was talking to a guy in my photography class about test driving and ordering one and he said well enjoy your 8 miles a gallon, when I told him its supposed to get closer to 18 or 20 after the enigine is broken in he coughed out "bull****" I thought that was really cute. I'm betting on more that 8 though.

I just got keyed last night by some f*cking ass hole. It runs from midway on the front passenger door all the way down to the fender on the rear passenger door. It's a deep groove. If I could have only caught them in the act I would have broken their arm, or worse. My H3 is leased so I guess I'll have to pony up and pay for whatever insurance doesn't cover. This sucks. Anybody out there had to deal with this before?

Way pissed off,

Sorry to hear that dude - people are such scumbags. It's such a chicken$hit thing to do to someone and I'm sure the person didn't even know you. Whoever did it was probably just jealous of your car or it was some tree-hugger who hates Hummers and everything that they stand for. Either way, the person that did it should be shot. I wish you caught the person in the act, but that never happens.

Anyway, your best bet is to take it to a body shop and see how much it'll cost to fix it. From what you say it's too bad to be buffed out so a body shop is your only choice. I'm sure it'll be less than your deductible so just pay for it out of pocket and write it off as an additional cost to own one of the most kick-a$$ cars on the planet.

Here in KY most responses have been pretty positive. At at convenient store one morning I parked and I admit I took up 2 spaces but there were also no other cars on the lot. I come out and some plumber had parked and blocked me in. I guess he thought I would wait til he came out, but I went in the store and called him out and made him move his truck while he was waiting to get breakfast. He just muttered damn hummer people. I got a chuckle out of that.

In Maryland, I have had a tire slashed twice. I got a lot of positive looks but the tire slashing is really frustrating!

I work in the Chicago Suburbs and live in NW indiana. So far, only postive reactions. I came out of a resteraunt one day to find a guys faced pressed against the window looking in. It didn't bother me. I hope nothing happens to it. I guess that's what insurance is for.

99% positive. Every once in a while I get dirty looks, but that's rare. On the flip side, it's the first truck/car I've driven that just craves attention.

I have a h2 and so far 99% positive. The best one was when I had a thirtysomething MILF (I'm 27) stop me in the home depot expo lot and wanted the tour. She sat in it and said she was going to trade in her 60K benz for one. She said it was "beautiful" which to me is better than "cute" which some women I talk to say about the H3....sorry had to pick on ya'll a little!

As for the haters, I try to be a good hummer ambassador by offering a jump here and there, or a tow, etc. I don't double park, or, in general, I try not to act like an ass. I feel it is our duty as hummer owners to show the haters that we are good people.

I agree that in a few years when there are hummers everywhere, they will find something else to hate on.If someone in a prius ever were to flick me off, I'd just wave back. . Life is too short

That being said, if someone were to phisically screw with my truck, I would be forced to beat their arse. It goes both ways with me, non violence equals non violent response and vice versa.

LMAO/ Today i got a "WTH is that thing?" http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I started laughing.

Reactions to my H3 here in Silicon Valley have been very favorable. People have frequently asked questions about the gas mileage and price. They were interested in a positive way.

Only flipped off once by a tree hugger that probably mistook it for an H2. And once a Prius driver gave me the evil eye after I went first at an intersection in a parking lot.

Here, in West Texas, I just have to be careful going around all the Suburbans, Escalades, Expeditions, H2's, and Navigators! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Besides, if someone keyed it, I wouldn't be able to tell the mark apart from all the mesquite brush marks I've got http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Day three, so far, so good! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Reactions have been positive. Lots of fuel mileage questions, but I expected that. I had figured that the Soccer Moms at my sons daycare would start squaking negatives, but so far the only thing I've heard has been positive.

I agree with Alan06SUT above. Be a good ambassador and kill the haters with kindness. Either that or whack 'em with a big stick! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Mostly Good reactions here in Vegas. my wife has received a few remarks from co-workers
That were showing their jealousy. People do tend to think you’re wealthy. Mostly I think its ignorance/not being informed on the price of the H3 in relation to other SUV’s.
Las Vegas does have a High Auto theft rate so I advice everyone to take some security preventive steps on any vehicle they own
