View Full Version : H3 Gm Supplier/Prices/Dealerships in the Northeast
Some knowledge that we accumulated when purchasing our Hummer H3....
Crowley Hummer, West Hartford Connecticut, $1500 OVER sticker, would not honor GM supplier Program, seemed very arrogant, kept telling us about $5000 over sticker in Manhatten, we couldn't understand the relevance.
James Hummer, Flemington New Jersey, Said they would do GM supplier only on factory order. When we said ok let's order, they immediately pushed us towards something in stock or on it's way to be delivered. When we asked to see the used car books, they said they were "irrelevant". Didn't seem to care much what we wanted just wanted to ring up a sale on the books. Didn't like this place but would have bought one there if they had what we wanted.
Shearer Hummer, Burlington Vermont, would not honor GM supplier program but was giving $1000 off MSRP.
Paramus Hummer, Paramus New Jersey, would not honor GM supplier price.
Karl Hummer, New Canaan Connecticut, would do GM supplier only on factory order.
Hurd Hummer, Johnston Rhode Island, Couldn't be bothered to give us a price. Still haven't figured out if they honored GM supplier discount or are even interested in selling any of their Hummers........ A lackluster dealership at best.
Dobles Hummer, Manchester, New Hampshire, Honored GM supplier price without blinking an eye (that's where we bought our H3), Very impressed with this place......
Since we are a GM Supplier, we absolutely expected to utilize this program. We shopped around and would have waited as long as took for someone to honor the GM created program. So for those of you who are discouraged by price gouging dealers, shop around. Don't be afraid to drive a lot of miles to save a lot of $$$$$$$$. We did.....
Lynch Hummer, Have no experience with them but have heard only good things about them!

I'm not at GM supplier and did not have any discount, but I did the same search back in May when I was looking for my H3. One place you did not mention gave me the best deal and continues to give great service.

I don't know if you will find this relevant, but I get alot of calls from people in the Northeast complaining about poor customer service and price gouging on parts. Shopping around is prudent advice.
BTW, Lynch Hummer in St.Louis is nothing short of fantastic. Best Hummer dealer in the country.

Ramp Hummer in New York (Long Island) accepts GMID’s. Although they say they don’t at first but in the end they will.
Over 150 H3’s on the lot.
With the exception of GM forgetting to add the off-road package to my H3 they have been pretty cool to work with.

I used a different tactic. I had my wife call and they said NO. I drove over there a day later and said the dealership 60 miles down the road was honoring and I wanted to buy local (one of their biggest competitors). They got on their knees from there... I was out the door in under 20 minutes...

I got mine at Hummer Village of Norwood in MA and they were great. Had no problems with the GMID. Shopping around is the best thing to do, I encountered similar problems with Hurd in RI...they have a lot on their lot but really don't seem interested in selling them.

</div></BLOCKQUOTE> This is the same treatment I received at ARMEN Hummer, Plymouth Meeting PA. I couldn't GIVE my money away at that place. Weird.
I went an hour away to Scott Hummer, Emmaus (Allentown) PA very helpful and no pressure. That's where I purchased.
Wright Hummer, Wexford, PA (near pittsburgh) was 4 hours away and very helpful over the phone during my search.
I just got an H3 at ARMEN, and they accepted the GMID. Though, when the car came in that we wanted (from Scott), it had a different interior than we ordered, and the car has a leaky headlight and broken roof trim. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
I have to say, in PA, SUTLIFF, MECHANICSBURG might be one of the better dealers. They are pleasant and will accept GMID. Wish I had gone there instead of ARMEN, personally, but originally ARMEN was going to take off $1,800 vs. $0 at SUTLIFF so I went with the former in case I couldn't get a GMID.

My dealer said they did not accept the GMID until I said I needed to get my deposit back so I could go elsewhere. Funny how all the sudden they accepted it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
