Hi everyone!
I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. I have a dilemma. My house is for sale, and when it sells and I relocate to Tennessee, I will purchase a new truck. I am undecided about the Hummer H3 or the Dodge 2500 with the Turbo diesel. I feel the engine in the H3 is adequate, but my concern is how long will it last?
The Dodge cummins diesel will last several hundred thousand miles. I plan on keeping my next vehicle for many years. I don't have a budget that allows me to trade my vehicles every few years.
Any input would be appreciated..thanks
This is a great site, keep up the good work.

Welcome. West Palm Beach to Tennessee, interesting choice http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Generally diesels and known to last longer but I have know a few people with American made gas engines with 250K plus miles so it can be done. I personally would be far happier driving the H3 until it was dead than the Dodge 2500 but that is me. Nothing against the Dodge, I just think I will still love the H3 a number of years down the road where the Dodge would just be another truck to me. Just my two cents.

Couldn't agree more...
I think everybody in Palm Beach would rather live somewhere else today...First day back to school and traffic sucks!

I can understand that. I sure wouldn't mind getting out of Orlando. Sure would be nice to have some real terrain to play around in with my H3 when it gets here.

Yes cheaper cost of living. Plus I can buy my house for cash and take it easy.

Diesels are cool, but they are a little tougher to live with. Not every station carries diesel.
