Just relized its not on with 3m tape as I thought. I washed the car yesterday water froze up after washing. and today I looked out the window down on the H3 and saw it looked crooked so I just when out and to check and its on with a magnet, the wind didnt seem to move it I must of hit it with my wash broom.Funny it didnt move when I brushed off the snow the other day.

Good thing though , when I get roof lights I can move it easily. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yep, mine is magnetic as well. Kind of suprising how well they stay. I recently took the h3 to an automatic car wash for the first time after installing the GPS antenna, and even with the sprayers about 6" away as well as the jets for drying, it didn't move.

When behind the dash pannel I noticed a coil of wire that goes to the gps antenna so I could relocate it back further near crossbars to hide it from view. For know it is were it is and you can only see it from a upper window or on the side steps .Nice to know you can move it easily though.

I will try to get a shot of it but my XM antenna is next to the factory antenna. I installed it the weekend before the marker lights went on. Now that the lights are installed, the XM antenna is not visible unless you are above the vehicle which should also protect it somewhat.

Is that an active or passive antenna?

Did you need to run power to it?

on the avic-n2 the antenna just plugs into the brain. only 1 wire. i assume the eclipse is the same.

They are all the same. I would put a piece of 3m double sided tape on that antenna so it doesn't ever get moved and scratch the poop out of your roof.

I picked up some today, the magnetic disk that holds my cel phone unstuck so I got some outdoor super strength 3m tape, its gray like my H3.Ill put it on when It gets over 50 degrees.
