Take it to the dealer. What else are you gonna do? You could always trying smacking the console like an old television. lol

A direct short to ground on the blower motor circuit. This could be caused by a leaking battery corroding wires under the hood, a common ACDelco battery issue.

Pay no attention to this post, it isn't DRTYFN, it is someone named "CheeseDick" hacking and trying to start trouble. DRTYFN would insult you much more eloquently. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Cheers, Do you know where abouts its likely to be, or possibly have a picture of all the wires?

Is there anyway of checking if it is that?

you would need a volt meter and a wiring diagram. The part only takes about a half hour or so to replace, so I would just take it to the dealer. I work at a gmc dealer and have replaced a few of them on yukons for the same condition. I dont know for sure if the hummer is same but i would think that it is. I never looked at mine to see.

If you take down the right hush panel under the dash, you should see the blower case and the blower motor. There should also be a piece in the case with I believe with 2 harnesses coming out of it and 1 of them goes to the blower motor. Unplug it and the motor should stop.
