I ordered two Trico Winter blades for the H3 from Midway Auto in Texas. Could not find any local, and from what I could find out, Anco makes no 17 inch blades.
For the passenger side I ordered a 16 inch (stock is 15.7 in) and for the driver's side I ordered a 17 inch (16.7 is stock size).
Trico lists that the 17" will fit on both sides, but it would be extremely close on the passenger side. It appears to me a 17 inch blade might just hit the black header trim.
I should have them on Monday, and installed by Tuesday; I'll let you know how they fit.

Did you order just inserts, or the blade and inserts?

When ordering the winter blades, you get the blade and insert.

I just bought 2 16 inch winter blades and they seem to work just fine.I dont see any gaps in coverage at all.

Probably less windshield being wiped. You and I might not notice, but there is a Federal Reg (FMVSS/CMVSS) that requires an exact number of square inches to be wiped on both sides and combined. I just wonder why the designer decided on 15.7/16.7 inches, instead of 16 and 17 inches.
Easier to find refills, and I would think less expensive for GM to purchase since these odd sizes are custom made.

I agree the sizes are kinda strange.Would like to see face of guy at parts store when you ask for those sizes.

17" are too long for the passenger side. 16" for the passenger, and 17" for the driver fits perfectly. The 17" on the passenger side hits the top windshield molding when wiping.
You could go 16 on both side; however, there is only one in a pack, so I would recommend a 16 and a 17.

Tested today with the 7" snow and no more streaking. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Worth the price.

I just installed these blades. Both are 17in. and clear just fine. The chrome may be too much bling though. I guess each manufacturer is probably a little different in their measurment.
