My driverside review mirror is just loose. How do I get into the beast and tighten that thing? I'm afraid to just pry away at plastic for fear that I'll bust a tab off or something. Is there a specific procedure for this? There aren't any bolts visable... I assume you don't have to tighten this thing from inside the door right?

Or just deal with it until you have a laundry list of issues to have taken care of and then take it in. My dealer is about 10mins away and I still only take it in once I have a laundry list of stuff to fix.....It's a pain in the ass to take your rig in.

Bummer. I hope I never end up with a laundry list of warranty items to fix on my H3.

But I get the point, I'm waiting 'til my next oil change for the rear washer fix.

Where is it loose; where it attaches to the door, or where the arm attaches to the plastic mount?
If where it attaches to the door, just remove the door panel and tighten the four nuts holding the mirror to the door.
Another place that could be loose, is the small screw at the bottom. Swing the mirror all the way to the door, and look down at the pivot area, there is a small screw, make sure it is tight, but do not overtighten.
If that does not do it, the dealer is the best place to go. I have disassembled the mirror to run wires for the turn signal LEDs, and it is not simple, and easy to break the plastic if not careful.

Had the right mirror loose (just a little) on my Gray H-3. It was loose at the pivot point. The DEALER replaced the whole thing. Flew in the new one overnight.

I couldn't tell where exactly my driver side mirror was loose. I could only really tell when I was driving down the road and the mirror face was shaking like jello.
The dealership replaced the mirror...so they said. I'm still having the shaking however. I will be taking it back in once I return from Paragon.

But yes...I agree w/ the census. WARRANTY! :D

Mine is loose at the hinge that allows for the mirror to swing in. I'll check the screw in the A.M.

I have had my driver side mirror replaced once already and about to have it replaced again...it gets loose where the mirror housing sits on the arm...its really noticable at night..drives me crazy!

Anyhow, being covered under warranty...the dealer (in Lubbock which is about 2 hours away) has said that they havent really noticed this being a real problem for anyone else...guess its just me (which seems really strange, but whatever).

Hope this new mirror will be the fix.

Mine is also, and it is already on my long list of fixes.. Have the dealer do it. That way it is noted and if the problem returns in the future you have a valid point. Otherwise they will say that you made the problem by fixing it yourself.

hey my mirror is loose also, but not the who assembly just the glass itself. It has a little movement to it, where at 50+ mph it starts shaking and cant see anything on it. Its just the glass, the rest seems to be pretty secure as far as i can tell.

I have taken to the dealer two times, and no improvement at all. I will take a third time but i bet i can tell how thats gona go. they seem willing to fix it but they just cant.

Question is, is there some procedure that i can do to tighten the glass part of the mirror?

thanks.

best bet is to live with it and let the dealer fix it...its broke, if you break it more (glass) then you pay, if they break it they pay..

yea i guess thats the plan im gona go with now, but the thing is its hard to live with it, i need that mirror. I'll try to stick some rubber or tissue or something in it when goin on the highway so it can at least be used.

hpe teh dealer get it by the fourth or fifth try. im not gona hold my breath though.:crying:
