maybe too much line x, but looks great. my friend is thinking about the same package on his black h3. I think it's a $4k option at sewell.

Way overboard. It doesn't look good on the lighter colors. The vent caps just look stupid. And the door handles are gonna really suck after awhile.

I've told my friend that Line X would do it for less, we'll see what he ends up doing, while I love my dealership and the people at it, their price markup is my biggest complaint.

Yeah me likes the wheels...dealer mark up is a little steep but the lazy man with cash can go that route.

someone will loose a job over that. It will sit and they will have to give it away

Yeah that is at my Dealer in Plano...I bet they unload it. This dealer has moved two pink H2's and a UT themed H2. And they currently have a Zebra striped H3 sitting on the lot for 50g. They seem to find a way to sell the oddballs.

Can you say pressure wash? Great thing about it is, if they put the black epoxy coating on it, it rinses like a teflon fry pan......easy clean-up:D

Being a northern transplant to Texas, I will admit they sure can ugly up a truck down here. The line-x one would have been ok, had they not gone crazy and done the door handles, mirrors, air cleaner covers...just too much.

Dealer told me that they let their top sales guys design a custom every so often...right now they have the zebra H3, a light blue H3, and the line-x H3.

It only really works on a black truck I think. The others are not right.

But ALL that Line-X and it doesn't look like they did the hood vent???

I have seen this in person and yes it is UGLY. They at swell are not allowed do any lifts on any of there hummers there. so they have to do wheels and tires and pink and zebra and orange paint jobs and then ugly line X on half of the h 3, sorry but lifts would look better and make them more money but i understand if the dealer cant do lifts but this is so far out in left feild.someone actully bought the h 3 they painted in pink and orange so i am sure someone will but this line x with a h3 some where in there. They do have a kick as# first class dealership for aperance though.very high class and very up scale from what i have seen.

I called them when shopping for my H2.
Salesman told me that I would take an additional hit on my 02 Avalanche trade in because it had 20" wheels on it.

That salesperson was right. We cannot sell aftermarket wheels and tires (or lifts or superchargers) on any of our new or used vehicles, so we have to figure in the cost of getting trade-ins back to factory specifications in order to sell it on our lot. There are huge liability risks with putting on aftermarket stuff like that that messes with the inherent design of the vehicle, and we are a private company, don't want to lose everything because someone wanted some 24" Pimpstar wheels.

As far as the Line-X goes, we did 30 pieces in total. We had it on the white H3 that nobody liked, so we disassembled that one (me personally for most of it) and moved all of the parts over to the boulder gray one. It's the price of doing the little pieces that jacked it all up to where it is. The hood vent is done, for the record. We also got the topcoat protection so it will clean easier and stay shinier. All that said, it's been here for too long, we will absolutely drop our pants on that one at this point, and the Zebra.

When doing all of this crazy stuff, you don't know how people will respond, so you just have to try it and see what happens. We've sold 4 pink Hummers in the past 8 months, none of them sat on our lot for more than a week, while you have good looking Slate Blue SUT monotones that sit here forever. You just never know what's going to sell, so we try, live, learn, and move on.

Just in case any of you are wondering, I'm the Accessories Manager at Sewell Hummer in Plano, TX (about 15 miles north of Hummer Guy, who is my counterpart in Dallas). All I do all day is play around with Hummer Accessories and dream up crazy and fun paint schemes, if any of you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by and ask for me (MODERATOR: I WILL NOT TRY TO SELL THEM ANYTHING, I JUST WANT TO SAY HI AND SHOW THEM AROUND). Also, let me know if you have any ideas for a custom paint scheme or theme truck, I'm always looking for what's next.

I loved the Camo SUT that was at the Lemmon Ave. Grand opening! If I hadn't had a new one of my own, I would've tryed to talk you down on the price of that one. I think that it gets peoples attention. They may not buy that one, but they will still probably by one. Sewell has a great reputation and the customers all seam to be loyal. I don't think that you could call that a mistake. :D

Personally I think it looks terrible, Id never buy something that looked like that, it might look ok on a black vehicle but to me it just seems like it would always look dirty, and does it fade in time? If so it will look like most black plastic parts do on vehicles after a few years of collecting car wash soap and wax. Theres someone out there though that cant wait to get their hands on it. Might just be easier if they line-X the whole body and just cut out port holes for windows. :)
