Isn't putting low profile tires on a Hummer like putting mudders on a Corvette?

Isn't putting low profile tires on a Hummer like putting mudders on a Corvette? No! How many vettes have you seen with mudders. But, I'll be damned if sumbitches don't run around and put rubber bands on Hummers. So, it can't be the same.

i just say to each his own.
whatever reason somebody wants to buy a hummer, and whatever they want to do with it = more hummers sold = morep rofits for the peopel making them = more R&D = more & better future hummers.
so bring on the soccer moms, the rappers, the "pavement princesses" and all, then send them over for a beer & some grille...

it's all good

All good. If GM/Hummer was to depend only on the heavy offroad users for sales, the division would be much lower volume, unprofitable and eventually history.

so i guess it's not the same. In the form fits function aspect of it, or yes and no aspect of, I haven't seen one yes or no(besides for paragon(quite obivious)).

Is it ok to lower a Jeep?:D Yeah baby! That baby will tear up the trails. I hope they build them all that way.

lowered hummers are lame :( , great big muddy hummers with the biggest fattest tires you can fit are the $hit
mudders on a vette are the same as mudders on a hummer
Lopro's on a hummer are the same as lopro's on a vette , the vette is just a hellavalot faster :D
im thinking about doing this to my C5 then i could take it to Moab :D

And all that research resulted in the H3x. A fine vehicle faster than a speeding civic, more powerful than an Libery, and able to leap mall parking lots with a single bound.
...if they are going to sell more bling hummers, and kill the aftermarket of real 4wd H3s I say off with their heads! I'd rather just buy a Cherokee than drive a vehicle that has a reputation like the Liberty (and trust me my friends, the H3 is starting down that slippery slope)...

Well, FWIW, i think the H3 gets more cred among jeepers and others than the H2... perhaps because most of salvos fired at H2s got shot off in the first couple of years they were on the market - before people started doing cool stuff with stock trucks.
One concern i have over the hummer name is this: the jeep ad dudes fully realize that 95% of people buying a wrangler are gonna take off the doors and cruise around sipping starbucks & carrying home a 12 pack. But they still make offroad ads... Hummer tends to make bling/soccer mom ads and almost forget about the offroad aspect. At least in those com's that i've seen.

true , i never had a problem at the mall :p :D
but have you ever had that problem in traffic jams where the urge to just go through the ditch overcomes you?
I don't understand putting big chromers and skinny tires on a H3 at all. Its like cowboy boots with shorts. Shows how people can be influenced by fads. Of course, I'm an old fart who doesn't understand tattooing your neck, hooded sweatshirts on a 80 degree day, or wearing your pants halfway down your ass either.

I certainly would not call myself an old fart but would have to agree with you, don't understand any of those either
