These are POLISHED SS Vs Chrome from the General @ $695.00..

Is the Quality good or should I stick with General:o

I don't recommend either - if you go off roading you will have to remove them which can get to be a pain.

The4y look almost exactly waht the dealer put on mine. I've run many a dirt road out in the Utah desert and haven't hit mine yet. If you go out in mud you'll get some bbuildup on top of the tread. Makes for a large step getting in or out.

I had assumed that the step rails were lower than the frame until I looked and found that the frame is about 2" lower than the rails. This means that one would have to be tipping some before the rails would hit.

This leads me to believe that mild wheeling with the rails on is possible.

The SS ones sure look good for that price (more like what they are worth)

Best regards, Happy Jack

If I read Bebe's lips, we are wimpy wheelers with step rails.
