were going up to gallager lake to go camping. its a lake in the mountains and you can only get there by wheelin it. feel free to join me. so far i think im the only one confirmed going but if you guys wanna go just post up. the more the merrier my phone number is 206-***** my name is Miguel. (im not mexican)

ok here we go. the plan is to go saturday morning to the spot, camp and come home the next day. Meet up at 1030am in issiquah at the krispy kreme and leave by 11. If for some reason you were late and couldnt make it to the krispy kreme and we ditched you then here are the directions:

take I-90 east go over the pass then
Take Hwy. 903 (North) exit 80 from I-90 towards the city of Roslyn.
Past Roslyn 903 changes name to Salmon La Sac Road (just East of the lake). This is a nice two lane paved road with beautiful scenery and a slow speed limit
It goes a while I think maybe 15 miles past several campgrouds.
Name changes again to CleElum Valley Road but I never saw any signs of this change.
Any way, this road continues and drives into a little forest park – continue past the restrooms that will be on your right.
There is a Y in the road and you stay to the right on the Y. This is a gravel road that sucks and goes for a long way.
About 6.9 miles up this road you will turn to the right and enter the official legal marked trails. This is shortly (maybe 500 yards) after the second bridge. you head up the trail, which is really easy and towards the end you will come to some open gravel areas on a riverbank, and proceed past that, then crawl up the hill and you are back on a road, turn right, go thru a gate i think, and there is another trail on the left.. keep a sharp eye out for it but its within 400 yards or so of exiting the first trail so if you dont see it just turn around and go back and look for it. anyways this trail goes right up to the lake, at one point there is a Y in the trail. it doesnt matter which way you go they both join up again later and the lake is after it.

we will have dirtbikes with us hopefully so after we setup camp we will prolly go screw around and head back to the river area just in case you are lost and need help. its gonna be fun and i really hope you guys can go.

here is the river area:

so this new voip deployment I am doing is a complete cluster fudk. I might be leaving early to revamp the design. This is good and bad - I might be back in town for the trip :D or I may have to leave and come back.

Hopefully I just get fired.

More info. on this description from above -

"...then crawl up the hill and you are back on a road, turn right, go thru a gate i think, and there is another trail on the left.. keep a sharp eye out for it but its within 400 yards or so of exiting the first trail so if you dont see it just turn around and go back and look for it."

crawl up the hill as you watch out for possible motorcycles - turn right, no gate is here, proceed over the bridge with the water flowing very rapidly underneath. 400 yards or so continue down to the marked trail - 4W01. This one is in the middle.

I will look for a Map.

I was the guy in the green H3 I think you talked to at the trail head. I wish two things:

1. I had seen that topo map before I left.:crying:
2. We had the time to finish the run.

Having never been there before, we had no idea how much longer the trail would run, nor were we too sure where we were. There were some REALLY nice drop offs along that trail! Put it this way, I'm no expert, bt it did get my attention! ;)

Anyway, we had a great day!:D I still haven't scared my wiff out of 4 wheeling, yet. Hope I can give it another go some time. I still haven't seen that damn lake!:(

oh, i didnt know you were part of the forum, i had the black H3, you were actually really close to the spot where we camped for the night, however we drove all the way up to the lake and found all the camp spots were in use, then some people verbally assaulted us because they felt we had gone off the trail. if we did it was an honest mistake but we were still on the trail as far as i could tell. then we turned around and went back to the spot just after where you guys pulled out.

JEEZ!! My fishing buddy at the NOC tried to go camping last week end, and every camp site was taken!:( I can't imagine the sites being taken that far out in the boonies! Anyway, it was good to meet you, and I'm glad you at least found a place to camp.:D We'll have to try it, again.:excited:

Good thing Dennis didn't get a chance to go with us. He is nice but I am sure he wouldn't have put up with that old mans sh it.
Idiot's are better off just left alone - ignore them and hopefully they go away.

You don't want to post your digits on an open forum. Trust me on this. Ask for PMs to selectively give your # out.
