Hello all, I have been surfing this forum a little before Memorial day when I test drove a sweet red H3. I am going to take advantage of the 0% financing this monday or tuesday and take the plunge. I would like to know if someone here can provide a GMS or GMID # for me? I could get one from my step father but he and my mother are in Virginia on vacation for a week. I didn't even think of getting this discount until I was talking to the dealer the other day, and mentioned that my stepfather ran a couple of GM factories before he retired. He told me to try and get ahold of him, I could save alot of $. I have tried and no luck. If anyone here can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Shawn

GMS will save u some more $$, around 1000+.
Does your stepfather or mom buy from a favorite dealer?
call them and get his info.
U can call GM direct and w/ his last 4 SS#s get one yourself.

This can be confusing. GMS and GM Supplier are not the same thing. GMS is for the actual GM employee and the vehicle needs to be in his/her name when purchased. GM Supplier is for Suppliers to GM. Then there is GMID ( AKA Friends and Family). GM employees can get certificates (numbers) for GMID purchases. GM Supplier and GMID are the same price and are shown on the dealer invoice along with GMS and dealer pricing. GM Supplier/GMID will be a few hundred below invoice on the H3. If somehow you could get it for GMS pricing it would be a couple of thousand less than dealer invoice.
Here is a site that anyone can get a GMID number from GM employees who are willing to help us out.

I know weve been over this more than once but..., This GMID is this price going to be lower than the price on say CARS DIRECT? I usually just print out a cars direct price, take it in, and buy the car. Will I save more with the GMID??? Sorry, I'm slow:o

Relatives of GM employees can obtain GMS, and the car can be titled in the purchaser's name. My Brother has purchased via GMS, my kids have purchased through GMS and the vehicles are titled in their names; I had nothing to do with the purchase but supply the GMS number.
Children (including step children), spouses (not ex'es:giggling: ), father/mother, father/mother in-laws, siblings (including step) and grandparents are eligible for GMS discounts, and the vehicle does not have to be in the name of the employee.
And those at director level or above can issue two GMS ID's to non-family members, per month.:jump:

Is this 1000+ off of MSRP...just curious? I too am looking at taking the plunge and purchasing an H3 in the next week or so and have been told from a local Hummer dealer in Houston that he would let it go for a 100 over invoice and get the 0% interest rate. Does the GMS or GMID do better?
(Off Topic) I just wanted to say that I had been waiting for the new 07 Jeep Wranger to drop. When I finally saw the four door jeep, I was not as impressed with it....drove down the road and test drove an H3....alot of fun.:p

I saved almost $3500 off MSRP with GMID. MSRP sticker was $38,000 without dealer add-ons.
