One climb, I felt the motor drop in the back seat. I could still feel the rear end pushing my truck up, I felt the front end floating. However, I am use to feeling the front end work because of the weight of the motor. But going up on The Look Out, I could feel the weight shift back to the rear end.

It just didn't quit, one jeeper approach it from the side. It slid at a nasty angle againist the rut. His rear end, while giving it power, jumped the rut leaving the front end in. When he tried to reverse his rear end back into the rut, his front right tire came out of the rut. It looked like a perfect position to roll over.

Me and my spotter, already concerned, were on foot to offer assistance. Dave told him to drive it forward to get his front tire back in the rut. Dave has ran this coarse many a time, hence why he was riding with me.

So we got out the jack, pulled his rear end over, and he reversed out of the climb.

One thing I learned today, jeepers, hummers, and rovers are all out to have a great time, but safely. Off roading in such a coarse, you can't be to proud, you just never know.

I dropped into The Mud Slinger like a soldier drops into Mary-Jane and her rotten crotch.

Dave advised me that there was a rut in the middle, unseen covered by water, and said I should run the shallow trail. So what do I do? Take on The Mud Slinger.

I hit the rut in the middle, and the mud just swallowed me. Pics already posted. I say it was a close draw and the slinger will take its next ride through as a guest of honor.

It was a close call, look how deep my hummer was and decide for yourself. It was just plain nasty, but I made it.
