Console Tray?

Hey I heard that the H3 is suppose to come with a tray for the console? How many of you have it in there? Send pics Because I never had one in there when I bought it in December. I also heard it was only in Adventure and Luxury rides. I have adventure but nothing...Thanks guys...

If I remember correctly, 06's had the trays, initially, but were removed as an item that comes standard. Somewhere around the time the garage door opener buttons were removed from the lux package. I can't recall if the tray was only in the lux package, or was standard on all 06s. I'm thinking it was a lux pkg option.

Yep and I had a hell of a time getting one. Dealership always said they couldn't find any in stock so wouldn't take the order so went with http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ It took a while but finally came in. At that time they were on back order but you could probably pick one up at the dealership now for about the same price.

The tray is approximately 4 inches deep and fits into your console. It acts as a top layer to the deeper console box. You can put stuff underneath the tray in the main deep box .. and smaller stuff in the top tray. The console top closes over it, just as it does over the main deep console box. Both the 06's and 07's have the tray. The only difference with the '07 tray is that the very front lip of the tray does not have that 'felt' finish ..it's plain plastic. I don't know if it's only in the Lux model or not. I have the tray and there was also a tray in a loaner I had. Check with your dealer. Maybe the dealer just didn't go through their check list before you took ownership. The tray comes in handy .. I use mine all of the time. Good luck.:D

mine did not come with a tray but they ordered it and the salesman was feeling bad about the incorrectly diagnosised encoder motor which was just talked about in my WRIGHT rant and gave it to me

Hey, we all have that 'bottomless pit"! LOL! Mine is a little different though. The inside rear backing is a vinyl material, not the hard box. Before we took our H3 home, we had the dealer put in the Visualogic (Vizualogic) in-headrest DVD players, plus an electrical outlet and plugs (red/yellow/green for our son's gaming units). It was built into the back of the console. They had to remove the back of 'the pit". LOL. So, when I put my hand in, I feel like I'm reaching into one of those 'pits of no return' that school fairs used to have. You know, when you'd put you hand into an opening and not know what was at the other end? ROFLOL. Anyways, glad you ordered a tray! You'll get a lot of use out of it.:D

I din't get one with mine, and my H3 was a factory order. It was delivered and I picked it up the next day. Some of the plastic wasn't even off totally. It's nice to get a car that was hardly touched before me.

Usually they will sit around the dealer for a few weeks and get shuffled around by different people.

So Adventure Package definatley doesn't come with it.

They only come with the lux package. Originally they were in all H3s but late summer or early fall last year (if I remember correctly) they stopped including them with base and adventure only packages.

If the tray came with a feature like a change organizer or a holester. It would be worth having. The compartment is to small and narrow.:beerchug:

I just recieved confirmation of shipping. Gmpartsonline listed the item as a special order item, so it is taking longer to get. It should help me separate the important stuff from the crap, so I hope it is worth it!

I keep sunglasses,A coin holder(GM OEM for a 95 riviera I had)A chapstick,Small led flashlight,wipe packet for eclipse screen.

I got a high beam remote for the garage it works great and you dont have to take your eyes or hand off the wheel.:D
