rubbing, gonna have to trim?

my mechanic buddy said he cranked the torsion bars "a little" but he said i could trim the plastic inside the wheel wells and that would be an alternative to cranking the torsions more , in order to keep the ride smooth , he said we could make it look almost unoticeable esp if we used some black spray paint, what do u guys think?

Not sure about the need for black paint. I didn't paint mine (it's pewter) and I can't say it (the pewter color) ever caught my eye when looking at the tires and wheels.

You probably won't have to trim the outer edge of the plastic so the part you will trim will be inside the well. Or at least that's the way it worked out on mine.

At the risk of repeating myself, I trim the rear of the wheel well liner everytime I go off-road, it then sounds fine until I go off-road again, when it catches and bends the liner up creating that wonderful "card in spokes" sound. I've already hammered back some of the metal work too as that catches also. I did spray some rubber undercoating over it, as my hammer blows removed some of the paint. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
