my mechanic buddy said he cranked the torsion bars "a little" but he said i could trim the plastic inside the wheel wells and that would be an alternative to cranking the torsions more , in order to keep the ride smooth , he said we could make it look almost unoticeable esp if we used some black spray paint, what do u guys think?

Agreed. But then again, I already said that in the other thread. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not sure about the need for black paint. I didn't paint mine (it's pewter) and I can't say it (the pewter color) ever caught my eye when looking at the tires and wheels.

You probably won't have to trim the outer edge of the plastic so the part you will trim will be inside the well. Or at least that's the way it worked out on mine.

That seems to be a recurring theme here with our lovable Matt. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Phil, could you start another thread and tell me what you just said. Were you talking about a H2?

I think you should start a poll and ask everyone to vote on it, then start another thread to discuss the outcome of the poll, and another to dicsuss if painting it is absolutely necessary, etc, etc. This could become a ten thread topic easy.

At the risk of repeating myself, I trim the rear of the wheel well liner everytime I go off-road, it then sounds fine until I go off-road again, when it catches and bends the liner up creating that wonderful "card in spokes" sound. I've already hammered back some of the metal work too as that catches also. I did spray some rubber undercoating over it, as my hammer blows removed some of the paint. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Funny! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif LOL

Cut more plastic and beat the crap out of any exposed metal with a 5lb sledge. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
