Ok it is down to three tires and can't decide. 315/75/16 Toyo Open Counrty A/T ($161ea) not including S&H; to save some bucks, road noise and tread life.... the M/T's are way too $$$ (~$240ea) not including S&H. I also like the Cooper Discoverer STT (~$800) S&H included installed and balanced (probably a turn or two ont the torsion bars for good measure). I'm a little worried about road noise and tread wear but people swear by these tires. I have seen the Toyo's on the H3 but not the Coopers (Anyone have pics please post!!). What tire would you pick......In addition, if you only purchase 4 tires and you do get a flat can you use your stock tire to get you to the gas station. Is it possible to drive with the tire size all out of wack like that?

Lotus is running the Coopers and they performed very well in Tellico. I am considering getting a set myself. Never wheeled with anyone running the Toyos so can't compare.

GO with the toyo mud tires, had them on my H3 they were great. Very little road noise, great off roading, and looked good.

I would go for the toyo M/T's, in my limited offroad experience with them they are amazing. I cant wait to test them out at paragon in a couple weeks.

I'm a tad biased ;) but I'd get the Toyo MT's all over again. If they're too expensive for you, then get the Coopers. IMO, the H3 just looks better with an MT tire or at least a really aggressive AT. I've also seen the Coopers perform on the Rubicon and in Moab. They did very well.

How do the Toyo MTs last over time? Would they wear down quick on a daily driver?
