No life is worth messing up an SUV, huh? So don't use your SUV to run down people? :jump:

Or did you mean no SUV is worth messing up a life? Or something else? Maybe?

All I said was cripple the little bastard, I believe that falls under the category of PUNISHED and TORTURED in your next sentence. :giggling:

Deadly force should only be used to protect a life, not an SUV.

I am sure glad I grew where and when I did... We were all kids once and at some point we all did something bad. I threw a rotten tomato at a car once, the guy stoped and ran after us. My dumbass ran into the Barbwire fence on the property I was on and was stuck on it with the fence having a firm grip of my stomach.
In todays world I would get shot for that, luckily that night the chaser became my friend as he helped me get unstuck and took me home to be sure I was ok.

I was golfing in my back yard one time long ago. Not that we had the room for golf, mind you, but I was 12 so what the heck did I care. We lived in a house on the corner of your average, middle class city street.

I was using a seven iron to try and hit balls over the house across the road and I'd only broken one window so far so I was doing pretty good. The next time I swung I sliced the ball right into the passenger door of a brand new, passing Cadillac. The thing still had the dealer sticker in the window, dude was probably just bringing it home for the first time.

The Caddy came to a screeching halt right at the side of our house. I hit the deck and low crawled, commando style, to the back porch then scrambled inside. The owner of the caddy walked around his car a few times while swearing and screaming his head off, he knew that something hit his car but he wasn't quite sure what it was, the evidence had rolled away into the gutter.

I watched him through a window for what seemed like an eternity then he finally got in his car and left, there was a pretty good sized ping on the door just below the passenger window.

I got away with it but in retrospect I'm pretty sure that he would have shot me, given the chance. People get upset if you mess with their ride.

Kill someone to save someone? lawl but what about the dewd that got killed? should there have been someone there to kill the guy that wanted to kill the guy because he wanted to kill a guy? :beerchug:

Yes, it is the law in every state. If someone threatens the life of another person; that person, or a third party can use deadly force to save their or the third parties life.
Are you trying to say that if someone was threatening you or your family with a weapon, and you had a weapon, you would not attempt to defend yourself or your family?

Should someone have been in the alley to save he kid. That would have been nice, but life does not work that way. Hopefully, the law will find him, try him and issue the appropriate punishment per state law of where the act took place.

I saw this and immediately thought that the shooter was probably a gang banger. I don't think a law-abiding, weapon packing citizen would have done this.

I agree with F5 on this one - the shooter needs to be strung up as appropriate.

As for the surviving kids, they should be sentenced to a year of body shop and detailing work. As a long time scholar and practitioner of criminal justice and sociology, I have found that in many instances, perpetrators often would not have initiated a criminal had they had a measure of respect for the victim or property.

If they don't get the point after that, barring a crime of violence, then the punichment dial should be turned to "fry".

I have a feeling that those kids who just saw their friend get shot in the back, will not require a strong talking to, let alone any punishment. They are probably:
1. Scared to sh*t at this time
2. psychologically scared for life
3. Both

And that is why more kids that do that **** need to be shot. Eventually every kid will know someone or know someone that knows someone that got shot for doing something stupid and they will think twice.
