We picked up our new Desert Orange H3X last Tuesday night and drove it to Albuquerque two days later. We used cruise control almost exclusively once the break-in period was over and it handled the mountains and grades very well. It had to downshift to 3rd and sometimes 2nd on the tough grades but it always kept its speed. Sure, I would like more power but what I have is acceptable and I'm not going to complain. I wish there was less wind noise but I'm not going to complain about that either because the truck does everything else so well. For me, the seats were just as comfortable as those in the Mercedes we traded in. The H3 is great for long-distance drives.

My mother, brother and sister-in-law joined us for Christmas in New Mexico and the H3 easily hauled all five of us around the area and was great through the mountains between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The H3 received nothing but positive comments from everyone we encountered.

We had the pleasure/misforturne depending on your point of view to be in Albuquerque when the big snow storm hit. The H3 had no problems getting through the foot-high snow and slush. If it wasn't for the H3 we'd probably still be in Albuquerque.

So far we are completely satisfied with our H3. Thanks to everyone on this Forum for their answers to my questions and Happy New Year to you all.

No, didn't need it. The truck just did it's thing without slipping or sliding. I love our H3! :)
