i was looking into getting the cooper stt tires 37 . 12.50 17 . and the guy at the place said something about using powder in the tires to balance them instead of weights anyone ever used that.. or is that a bad idea? thanks!

Yes the Columbians like to do that with their tires and say it works great...:jump:

i just got my 40" x 17" installed and they said they put bag things in there. kinda weird but no weights and the feel great.

I have those tires, and used the powder and it works great.

Never heard of that....

what price did you get for the coopers? I got quoted 1100 out the door for 4....getting ready to pull the trigger in the next week soon as I get some time...

i got a price of 1243.00 at pepboys installed.. that also inculded a wheel alignment and road hazard warranty... where did you get your price quote?
