Hi guys!
a customer have buy locally the 39" tires of a Merceds Unimog, and want to fit with 20" wheels under his 2006 SUT.
Did you have any suggest about suspension modify, shocks, transmission, ring & pinion kit, with aslo supplier/manifacturer suggest???

Lo sfascia.... come quello che ha fuso con il Turbocharger in zona Padova....
Dopo aver preso le ruote compra il resto e ci fa un UNIMOG.

Ernie say that 39" make for sure a lot of damage ...
seriously damage and a lot of money to fix.
I'm sure that 37" fits w/o problem, ins't it?
But how about 39"???
I believe there is someone in the USA already do it...

You're gonna do it aren't you Rocks???:clapping:
Here is a 10 to 12 inch lift kit from Cognito Motorsports. I know a fellow that owns the 4X4 shop here and he runs this lift on his full size Heavy Duty GM truck.

When I looked at this kit 3 years ago, they didn't offer it in 4" but now I see they have one.

BUT...
if the 37" fits only raising a little the standard torsion bar...
why for 39" I need a 10" lift kit???
Is not enaught a 2" torsion key kit (cheaper) or at least a 4" susp lift kit (expansive...)
However how about axles and ring & pinion kit???
Let me know, thanks:popcorn:
Okay, what do you want it to look like? Do you want it to look like you put tires on that are too big? Unimog tires arent' exactly narrow. Search on here for pictures of lifted H2's.
You can crank up the torsion bars so it rides higher, but the tires will still probably rub when you turn the wheel to full lock.

I suggested a lift by Cognito.
IMO, Tires off a unimog aren't exactly stylish or practical for driving on the road.

the first pic is an H2 on 40" tires lifted 6 inches
Search for 38" or 40" tires. 39 is an odd number to search for but you can try it.

super lifts has a 7.7 inch lift that 39 inch tires will fit under make sure you upgrade steering and drive train also
you might want to check the speed rating on those unimog tires too because I think the rating on those are like 55-60 mph. not very fast and not safe if you plan on highway driving.

@ CHRISTIAN GM....
What are you doing here men?? I'm so surprised to see you here!
See you in the italian forum.....
I just think that the "39 are too big at all....just for offroad use....but maybe with a Full Throttle Suspension lift kit...can be possible with no after damages....

Screw just the tires, I want the entire UNIMOG. Those things are excellent!
50-60 on the highway isnt dangerous.....Ill only go 55 max speed in my h2 (18-19 MPG =))).
