View Full Version : Amstar is now Boulder Accesories...
sorry :shhh: I accidentally posted this on the H2 site also :twak:
Just FYI (not a comercial) some new info I had not seen until now...
Amstar products and part numbers can be found here:
http://www.boulderaccessory.com/
You can get the prices by calling your dealer and asking them to look up the part numbers. Pricey, yes, but these are Hummers we drive, not Jeeps, so no whining about money, please.
I can tell you a few of the prices I've checked:
Rod Hall Shocks 929.84
Beadlock wheel 516.65
Roof Rack 1398.59
Winch Bumper (includes winch) 1897.88
(this is competitive with the H2O bumper at $1550 (winch not included) but I like the H2O design better)
You can still see pictures from the Amstar original lineup here:

They seem to be missing a few of the accessories. Where is the cargo drawer and air compressor?
Thanks for the info, Hopefully armed with part numbers my dealer might have a clue about what I am talking about. They seem to be in the dark about these accessories.

Don't thing I would ever deal with a company that only sells through a dealer. I would bet those turn signal mirrors cost 50% more than the ones I have on my H3, which I purchased directly from Muth.

Yea like changing the name of the company is the key to success...
I don't have a time frame on the cargo drawers (I wish I did, I could make good use of them). The Rocker Protect/Steps are scheduled for July or August 07. There are some other things they will be adding too that aren't shown yet like fender flares and a refrigerated cooler. We'll just have to keep checking back. At least they are updating this site now and there are signs of life.
Speaking of cargo drawers, I live about 1.5 miles from two manufacturers of that type of truck accesory (UWS and RDS) and there are about a half dozen Aluminum welding and fabricating businesses in my small town (I don't know why) but I'm gonna get an estimate and some drawings made for some cargo drawers and see if they will make a few sets. I'll post the forum when that happens.
One thing that bugs me is they have dropped the CHROME WONT GET YOU HOME motto and are even advertising some stainless and chrome items on their web site
I still like their roof rack with HID lights (it's on my list along with the rocker protect/steps) :D

I'm completely with you here f5. Again, in today's internet world, there's absolutely no reason to include more middlemen to stomp the price up double. Look at what Hunner's done with the skid plates for the shocks. As far as I know, Amstar never got one sold!
They really REALLY need to work on their marketing.

The redesigned bumper/brushguard looks better than the original, but still not great looking.

Beadlocks are a mixed blessing. They work for offroad, really neat. Tire shops won't touch 'em around here though. When I had a set on my Scout, I had to do my own mounting. They'd balance 'em, but that's it. And they have to be JUSSSSST RIGHT not to leak.
