This is a post thanks to everyone on here. I bought my New '06 Shadow Green w/Adventure package, Monsoon, and lots of black bling at the end of December. It only had 90 miles on it and was built in 11/05. My salesperson said they only received 8 Green ones in January of 06. So I have one of the last green ones out there. I now have 4,600 miles on it. When the H3 first came out, we wanted a green one too. So luck and timing worked out. (We waited to buy because we actually thought the H3 was out of our reach. In December Lynch Hummer had the last few '06's on sale along with rebates). Lynch is great by the way from the sales folks to the parts people and the service managers.

I've read many posts and have learned so much. I was able to change my own oil from reading one of the posts. I learned about the roof rails and had my drivers side fixed. I bought an aftermarket roof rack and painted it to match the trim using the spray on bed liner because I read someone did this. I learned how to put on the tail light guards from reading a post. I'm going to put mud flaps on now and can figure it out from reading the posts.

I've read other forums too and this one is the best with all the knowledge everyone shares. I'm not too technical as you can probably tell, but I may offer an opinion every now and then if I think it will help.

This is the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. My wife loves it too.

Thanks everyone.:beerchug:

Welcome. I also live in the St. Louis area. Are you going to the Lynch off-road event this weekend?

I'll take some pics this week and figure out how to post them. (I should have had some already). I'm pretty bad about pictures. I bought a digital camera right after Thanksgiving last year and have about 50 pictures of the pets and other things and haven't even looked at them yet.

Barb, that was probably me you passed. My wife is always asking me, "why is everyone passing us"? We were heading to south county for Easter Services.

I can't make the Lynch event this time. I understand they do it a few times a year though. I hear they're well attended. They might have some details on their web-site. I believe the actual event is down off hwy 44 around Six Flags.

See you later.

Man, you StL'ers are killin' me. Grew up in Imperial, worked at West Port after college, then moved to Houston, TX, 29 years ago.

Used to 4 wheel all over Jefferson County, Bonne Terre, and south.

When my wife and I got married, instead of limos or some such nonsense for the wedding party, we had a caravan of open top Jeeps to get to the reception.

Yeah, they do them twice a year. One in the spring (this weekend) at their dealership and one in September at Sayersbrook Bison Ranch in Potosi, MO. I believe that Lynch owns about 30 acres behind their dealership and they have access to another 60 acres next to them. I went last year, but it had rained for the 2 days leading up to the event and was raining that morning so the trails were a soupy muddy mess. The trails aren't too tough, but the mud made them very difficult. It was a lot of fun though. I'm hoping the rain holds off for this weekend.
