I have an H3 17,000+ miles and have developed an annoying vibration which seems to be in the dash at idle. I feather the throttle and it goes away. Any ideas? Truck is a 5 speed.

i've got some of those. Myne rattles somewhere around the ends and something in the center console. Also got some annoying rattling in the doors and in the damn overhead lamp. Best bet would be to hunt it down yourself and use double side tape or something to make it fit tight. If you take it to the dealer expect at least 5 trips about the same thing. Most of the rattles are at low rpm because the vibration frequencys lower when you step on it higher frequency and it smooths out, no more rattling.
good luck.

I found a rattle once but it turned out to be a Prius caught in the fender well... :giggling:

I drive a 5 speed. It has a little 1/4 inch thick trim cap on the end of the shifter. It came off and I called the dealer, they ordered the part and when I went in they had an automatic shifter. 3 weeks later in came the shifter. I asked them to take the cap off and replace the broken one. Instead they changed out the entire shifter and over torqued it damaging 5th gear causing an annoying whining noise. I took it in and they said the noise was from the K&N air filter vibrating. Your goddam right I won't bring it in to the dealer.
What started out as a broken $3 part turned into a $140 shifter assembly and damaged parts due to stupidity, all hail Penske Hummer in Torrance.
